Sanitec and Russian Della created joint venture for the production of sanitary ware

International Corporation Sanitec, manufacturer of plumbing for bathrooms and a Russian company, Della, a manufacturer of sanitary ceramics for sinks and toilets, is a Russian holding "Keraton", announced a joint venture for production of sanitary products, said in a press release Sanitec
The new company created through the acquisition of Sanitec Corporation 60% stake in OOO Noginsk stroyfarfor, manufactures sanitary ceramics under the brand name Della.
The deal has not been disclosed.
As noted in a press release Sanitec, the intention of partners includes the further expansion of production and Della brand promotion in the Russian market.
"The share of North-Eastern Europe, particularly Russia, accounting for 28% of Sanitec. For our RF Corporation is a key market for the marketing and production. Therefore, we have created a joint venture with Della, to expand market sanitary products in Russia and Europe "- said Tuesday at a press conference in RIA Novosti vice president of mergers and acquisitions Sanitec Johan Cornell.
According to him, Della promoting a brand on the Russian market, Sanitec plans through joint venture Della increase production from the current 500 thousand pieces of sanitary products in the first year to one million units and then to 2.5 million units per year by 2010.
"We plan to invest in upgrading technology of Della", - he said .
Cornell noted that investments in increasing production Della will be 25-40 million euros.
In turn, chairman of the Holding "Keraton" Leonid Shpolsky said, in the person of the company Della Sanitec acquired a very experienced partner. "With his help, we want to solve the ambitious objectives, in particular, we want to become a leader in the Russian market and the production of ceramic sanitary ware," - he said.
He said that currently the share of Della in the Russian market is 4%. "We are planning at the expense of increasing production to 2.5 million units to increase their share in the Russian market to 16%," - said Shpolsky.
According to Cornell, sanitary ware market in Russia in 2006 increased by almost 12% - Production amounted to 13.5 million units of sanitary products.

The "Keraton" was founded in 1994 and specializes in developing, manufacturing and selling products for the construction industry. "Keraton" ceramic manufactures, mixes, sanitary ware.
