Stroysberkassy can become a tool for housing policy, believed in the Ministry of Economic Development |

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina believes that construction savings banks could become one of the instruments of housing policy in Russia, but the main vehicle for addressing the housing problems of the Russians left the mortgage.
This minister said on Wednesday during the «government hours» in the State Duma. According to her, a bill to stroysberkassah, involving the establishment of specialized banks with limited banking operations, «requires changes and adjustments».
As explained Elvira Nabiullina, in the mechanism stroysberkass, «as if it is attractive to citizens, there are certain risks associated with rapid growth in house prices ». According to the head of MEDT, «if these risks will be able to adjust, this mechanism may be one of the instruments of housing policy».
The Minister stressed that the Government should pay attention to mortgage lending, making it more accessible to the population by increasing the supply of housing and reduce the cost of the mortgage.
